STAGES OF HAIR GROWTH

Stages of Hair growth
1. Anagen Phase
The Anagen process is the period that your hair begins to emerge from the follicle tip. The stem cells of the dermal papilla replicate during anagen to generate hair protein and fibres.

2. Catagen Phase
Your hair strand spontaneously joins the catagen process at the end of the anagen phase, during which it separates from the base.

The hair strand separates from the dermal papilla and ceases collecting nutrients; however, it does not shed during the catagen process because the hair follicle shrunk walls temporarily anchor the shaft portion of the strand.

3. Telogen Phase
Your hair strand becomes a club at the conclusion of the catagen process, and the latent resting phase, telogen, begins. A new hair emerges from the roots and gradually moves up the previous club hair during the telogen process, which lasts for 3-5 months.

4. Exogen Phase
The hair strand completely detaches from the scalp and sheds off at the end of the hair growth cycle. This is the hair you see falling out when combing or brushing every day, as approximately 50-100 strands go through the exogen process on a regular basis.
